TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SALE
In these conditions Roof Vent UK Limited is referred to as ‘the Company’ and the person contracting with the Company is referred to as ‘the Customer’.
All contracts made by the Customer with the Company shall be on the terms hereof and the Customer shall not be entitled to rely upon the statement (other than the terms of this Contract) whether oral or written and whether express or implied given or made by or on behalf of the Company.
All delivery dates are subject to war, strikes, civil commotions, lockouts, breakdown of machinery or any other cause beyond the Company’s control and also to the Customer giving to the Company all particulars necessary for delivery to be made within any stated delivery times.
All prices are subject to change without notice and are ‘exclusive of VAT and delivery charges’.
Any quotation given by the Company is
Payment shall be made by the Customer within 30 days following the date of invoice. If payment is not made on the due date the Company shall have the right to require payment of interest on the outstanding amount at the rate of 3% per month from the due date until the date of actual payment (whether before or after Judgement) and any discount which may have been given to the Customer will be disallowed and the full price payable in accordance with the terms of this condition.
If the Customer should request the Company to hold onto their goods for any number of days/weeks once their order has been completed and invoiced, then full payment should still be made within 30 days following the invoice date and the above conditions apply. Under no circumstances should payment or part-payment be withheld whilst the Company awaits a confirmation delivery date from the Customer.
The Customer hereby agrees to reimburse the Company on a full indemnity basis all costs and expenses incurred in either the repossession of the goods sold to the Customer and not paid for or in the collection of payment for goods sold and delivered to the Customer.
Notwithstanding that title to the goods has not passed to the Customer by reason of the foregoing the goods and equipment shall be at the Customer’s risk from the time of delivery to him or to any carrier or agent acting on his behalf.
The right of the Company to recover possession of the goods from the Customer shall be in addition to all other rights the Company has against the Customer.
Packaging and Containers.
All goods and materials must be stored securely in a safe and dry area.
Any damage caused as a result of poor storage, handling, or exposure to weather conditions deemed to be unacceptable by the us the supplier will not be covered under the terms and conditions.
The Customer shall inspect the goods and equipment immediately on delivery and shall within three days of such inspection give notice in writing to the Company of any matter or thing by reason whereof it is alleged that the goods are not in accordance with this Contract. If the Customer shall fail to give notice these said goods and equipment shall be deemed to be in all respects in accordance with this Contract.
Goods supplies in accordance with Customer orders cannot be accepted for return without our written consent. If approval is given a 15% handling charge will be made. Returned goods must be confirmed and carriage paid.
Our products are guaranteed for a period of 12 months from date of invoice against electrical breakdown or mechanical failure resulting from defective materials and/or workmanship providing the breakdown or failure is not due to misuse or operation under adverse conditions. Any unit providing faulty and covered by the provisions of this guarantee must be returned to our works complete carriage paid, for examination when it will be repaired or replaced at our option, stating the relevant sales invoice no. Units that have been dismantled or cables that have been cut or removed or incorrectly powered up are exempt from this guarantee.
Plant and Labour
The customer shall be responsible for the insurance, preservation and safe custody of his own plant and lifting equipment used to move said purchased products.
Roof vents RVU1000, RVU2000/Heritage > Sliding Box lights > Slidalite > Fixalite > Openlite.
Family of Fireflow products which are CE: labelled NSHEV BS:EN12101-2 products SL1, SL2 ( Smokelite140) and range of Fireflow NSHEVS are fully factory tested prior to leaving premises in full and working order.
All our products are manufactured under factory-controlled conditions and guaranteed for a period of 12 months from date of invoice. It is the Customer’s responsibility to inspect immediately on acceptance of delivery of goods for faulty manufacture (see Warranty conditions above). If any fault is found following this inspection the Customer must inform the Company in writing within three days from the date of delivery.
On request, Typical drawings, NBS/SIM instructions are available for all our product range. For project specific customers are expected to provide their own working and installation drawings within the confines and restraint s of the said product
Where possible the Company’s products are painted by companies operating under and covered by Interpon-D or Akzo Noble Powder Coating. Such Companies carry their own warranty and may award various type of warranty based on certain finishes required i:e Marine finish. Therefore, the Company is governed by the Powder Painting Companies’ warranty only and cannot be held responsible or liable for any fault resulting from the painting process. Any products supplied by the Company will not be covered by any warranty if they are painted by either a Third Party or the Customer - the Customer is responsible for their own undertaking.
The Company is happy to assist where possible regarding installation of the product supplied, however it does not accept any liability or costs incurred due to incorrect installation nor possible damage caused to surrounding textiles, plaster, construction work. The Company cannot be held responsible for condensation that may arise through normal atmospheric conditions considered to be beyond its control.
